Lucy’s work captures the beauty of everyday: exploring stories and textures of the village landscape where she lives. Lucy seeks to illustrate the sense of rootedness and permanence derived from the deep layers of connection among the community and its landscape.

Working in black and white to concentrate on composition, texture and light - feeling this brings us closer to the timeless essence of a scene - Lucy uses prime lenses and available light to produce limited edition, archive prints.

“A modern visual poet” Joe Cornish, 2018

“These wonderful photographs are poems and short stories; they are miniatures and epics; they are tiny movements at the edge of the folding map and huge gestures at the vortex of the turning world” Ian McMillan, 2017
